AppSoft System Solutions Pty Ltd was originally formed to market software developed by WeatherSoft in conjunction with Martin MacLennan of Gondola Pty Ltd.

As of December 31 2007, Rob retired and Gondola Pty Ltd has taken ownership and control of Appsoft.

AppSoft is currently marketing or developing software specifically aimed at the food production and marketing industry, with special attention being paid to small business. We at AppSoft believe that small businesses in Australia are being forced as a result of stringent new government regulations to carry a very heavy load, and it is our aim to try to reduce that load by providing appropriate business tools.

Martin MacLennan:

• Born into the bakery business and educated further at London University completing a National Diploma, Baking Technology and returned to Millicent South Australia in 1975, assuming management of the family bakery business employing 35 people.
• Worked in partnership with a multi national company for a short while and then purchased a small retail bakery in Victor Harbor and quadrupled the retail sales over seven years prior to sale.
• Whilst still running the Victor Harbor bakery, started consultancy work for Laucke Flour Mills that led to full time work for another seven years as Technical Manager responsible for research and development, quality management system, HACCP, information technology, and responsibility for key account management.
• The development of customer management, quality control and recipe software with Rob Fairweather of WeatherSoft evolved into the realisation that there was a need for better computer based systems for food manufacturers hence the formation of Appsoft System Solutions Pty Ltd.
• As well as working with Appsoft, is now consulting, predominantly with bakeries and offering a variety of services such as pan (tin and tray) cleaning and new and used machinery sales.

Rob Fairweather:

• Trained and worked with a very large international electronics company for nearly 40 years. 5 years spent in research laboratories, 7 in the scientific and industrial analysis area, and 23 years in sales and customer support.
• Has been writing custom database software since 1981.
