Program Updates
The most current program executable file and it's associated version file
(an excerpt of which is displayed below) is available here for existing
users.
New users, or existing users who want to replace their entire install may now download a limited install package. This install package is a cut down version which does NOT include the CD version tutorial.
To download the full installation (30Mb).. Click here (dial-up users should not consider this option).
The main dRecipe Program (the "executable") is only 3Mb, and this is provided for those wishing to update to the current version.
Update 244 is the latest version.. Click here to download this update file (3.0Mb).-
Version updates are now
available as a update patch which may either be copied to the user's
computer and then run later, or simply run from this web site.
Labels may now be printed
directly to BarTender Label printer driver (no cutting and pasting).
BarTender is available from Dy-Mark in Australia. http://www.dymark.com.au/.
With
the introduction of version 1.6.0 all product photographs are now stored
in the database itself. Photograph importing has been greatly
simplified.
From
version 1.7.0, users of Avery Dennison's DesignPro 3.5 and 4.0 may also use the dRecipe export database as an ODBC source to print

:- DesignPro 3.5 is now included on the dRecipe distribution CD. Please note that DesignPro cannot be used in ODBC mode to update label Bar Codes direct from dRecipe. Manual mode must be used.
August 12, 2004 :- A new documentation updater is now available in the Downloads\Documentation folder.
Click on UpdateDocs.exe and select the "Open" option button to install all the latest documentation for dRecipe.
September 27, 2004 :- Version 2.0.0 introduces the ability to produce labels in any one of 4 different languages (English is always one of these languages). The user may determine what 3 additional languages are generated, and provides the translation so that special dialects are catered for.
NEW: May 28, 2005 :-
- By default, no report watermarks as used, however Lauke or EOI watermarks can be turned on from within user options. Custom user watermarks can be selected.
Please note: Patch 151 is no longer required before running later patches or updates.
Downloading nutrition databases
The data being offered here has been obtained as the result of a collaborative effort between dRecipe© users, third party suppliers and Appsoft System Solutions Pty Ltd and is included for the mutual benefit of all users.
To download any of the databases listed below, simply click on the links provided.
Available NOW:
Two new nutrient databases containing all of Ausnut Special Edition Database - Release(3).
Further information may be obtained about the source data used for these new databases is available from http://www.foodstandards.gov.au/mediareleasespublications/nutritionpanelcalculator/ .
- AusNutCore.mdb
There are 1780 core foods. These are generally used when preparing recipes, such as flour, sugar, butter etc. They include single ingredient foods, simple multi-ingredient foods, and food industry ingredients/additives. Also included are core ingredients that have been cooked without fat. Specifically, they fall into three main groups as follows.
- Core foods, most of which contain only one or two ingredients, including a range of alcoholic, non-alcoholic and reconstituted beverages, cereals, eggs, fats and oils, seafood (including seafood canned in both brine and oil), fruit, meat, milk, nuts and seeds (including oil roasted nuts and seeds), simple snack foods and vegetables. Included are cooked and canned versions of the above without added fat;
- Simple multi-ingredient foods such as mixed drinks, bread, pasta, pastry (unfilled), fats, plain dairy products, dressings and sauces; and
- Ingredients/additives specific to commercial manufacture such as maltodextrin and monosodium L-glutamate.

2264 foods. These include complete multi-ingredient foods such as fibre enriched and fortified breads, biscuits and buns, breakfast cereals, cakes, slices and other baked goods, takeaway meals such as pizzas and hamburgers, meat, seafood and vegetable based meals, reconstituted milks and flavoured dairy products, soups and simmer sauces, snack foods and confectionary. Also included are core ingredients that have been cooked with added fat i.e. those that include the terms 'fat added in cooking', 'fried', 'deep fried' and 'stir fry'.

- Fixed unreported bug in Recipe screen. If when entering a new recipe, after all fields had been entered and the save button had become enabled, it was possible to delete the recipe name, leaving the save button still enabled and then to subsequently save the faulty recipe.
- Fixed cross-link between Supplier and Common Name editors that (on a few installations) caused faulty load conditions.
- Fixed formatting problem with nutrient panel in Specification sheet when running Light versions of dRecipe.

- A new backup RESTORE function has now been included where all files of type MDB, JPG, BMP, BTW and PDF are restored in the Application path and the current Data path. Installing this upgrade will also correct the 1.7.0 typo error.
- Added ability to remove Potassium and Fibre from the nutrient information exported to bartender and DesignPro.
- Added new field to Export database. "AfterProcess" is the Afterbake weight in the bakery version of dRecipe.

Added new feature in Specification
screen. Each time a report is viewed, a new file is generated in
a folder called "PDF" under the current database
folder. This file uses the name of the selected recipe, and is
of type PDF (Portable Document File). This enables the user to
email specification reports to clients, and for the client to view and
print the specification.

To update to this version it is necessary to
load a program "PATCH" called Patch150x.exe where x relates
to "L" for the Laucke watermark version, or "E"
for the EOI (Unilever) watermark version.
The patch may be run from the current location, or downloaded to a temporary
location on your machine, and run from there.

- When
a row was selected in the Inventory, the Recipe tab selected, then the
Inventory tab re-selected, even though the same row was highlighted,
the data for the first row in the inventory was being displayed. Edits
were saved to the highlighted row. Fixed.

item in Ingredients graphic panel had been omitted.
- Test
for excessive entries (ver 1.0.25) removed.
- Adding
new ingredients to a recipe now remembers whether % or weight method
used for the addition, and forces the same method to be used for each
subsequent edit of the recipe.
